SFXGen

Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 August 2026

SFXGen is operated by Torontosoft. This page explains what we collect when you use the product, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

  • Video files you upload, and the sound files generated from them.
  • An anonymous guest identifier stored in a signed cookie, so we can meter the free try-it-now allowance without an account.
  • If you sign in with Google: your Google account id, name, email and profile image, as returned by Google's OAuth consent screen.
  • If you subscribe: the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers needed to keep your plan in sync. We never see your full card number.

How we use it

Uploaded clips are sent to our video-understanding provider (Google Gemini) and generated sounds are requested from our audio provider (ElevenLabs) solely to produce the soundtrack you asked for. We do not sell your footage, train our own models on it, or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Guest projects are not saved to a library and expire after one day. Signed-in projects stay for as long as your plan's library window (7 days on Free, 90 days on Creator, one year on Studio), then they are deleted. You can delete a project yourself at any time from the library.

Cookies

We set a single signed session cookie so the site knows who you are. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
